ALERT 16/26 A merchant vessel has reportedly been struck by an unknown projectile, causing damage to the hull, approximately 50 NM northwest of Dubai, UAE. The crew is reported to be safe. Authorities are investigating. Vessels operating in the area are advised to exercise enhanced caution and vigilance and to report any suspicious activity to MSCIO and UKMTO.
