ALERT 166/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 20:20 UTC on 1 November 2026, 9NM northeast of Lima, Oman, in the Strait of Hormuz. A vessel was reportedly struck by an unknown projectile, causing a hole on its starboard side. The vessel and crew are reported safe, and no environmental impact has been reported. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO.
