ALERT 164/26 MSCIO has received information regarding a reported attack at approximately 15:09 UTC on 1 November 2026, in the Strait of Hormuz. The Master of a merchant vessel reportedly received a Mayday call on VHF Channel 16, indicating that another vessel had been struck by an unknown projectile. The status of the affected vessel and its crew remains unknown. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO.
