ALERT 162/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 18:00 UTC on 30 October 2026, 40NM south of Lavan Island, Iran, in the Arabian Gulf. A vessel was reportedly struck by an unknown projectile on its port side, causing a fire onboard. The crew are reported safe, and no environmental impact has been reported at this stage. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO.
