ALERT 155/26 MSCIO has received third-party reports regarding an incident on 26 October 2026, approximately 63NM southeast of Al-Faw, Iraq, in the Northern Arabian Gulf. A vessel has reportedly been observed on fire. The circumstances of the incident, crew status, extent of damage and potential environmental impact remain unknown at this stage. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
