ALERT 153/26 MSCIO has received a time-late report regarding an incident at approximately 17:15 UTC on 22 October 2026, 7NM northeast of Limah, Oman, in the Strait of Hormuz. A tanker reportedly was struck by an unknown projectile while conducting an outbound transit. The vessel was able to continue its voyage towards its next port of call. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
