ALERT 147/26 MSCIO has received a time-late report regarding an incident at approximately 09:00 UTC on 16 October 2026, 68NM northeast of Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia, in the Arabian Gulf. A tanker reportedly was struck by an unknown projectile. All crew are reported safe and have been evacuated. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
