ALERT 145/26 MSCIO has received a time-late report regarding an incident at approximately 16:40 UTC on 13 October 2026 in the Strait of Hormuz. A container ship reportedly was struck by an unknown projectile while conducting an inbound transit. The impact caused minor damage, but no casualties were reported. The vessel was able to continue its passage. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
