ALERT 139/26 MSCIO has received a time-late report regarding an incident on 11 October 2026 in the Strait of Hormuz. A tanker reportedly was struck by an unknown projectile while conducting an outbound transit. All crew are reported safe. The environmental impact remains unknown. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
