ALERT 137/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 12:00 UTC on 11 October 2026 in the Strait of Hormuz. A tanker reportedly was struck on the port side by an unknown projectile while conducting an outbound transit, resulting in damage to the vessel. All crew are reported safe, and no environmental impact has been reported. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
