ALERT 131/26 MSCIO has received a time-late report regarding an incident on 5 October 2026 in the Strait of Hormuz. An oil tanker reportedly was struck by an unknown projectile while conducting an outbound transit. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
