ALERT 125/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident in the Strait of Hormuz. A tanker reportedly was struck by an unknown projectile, causing damage to the engine room. The crew are reported safe, and no environmental impact has been reported. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
