ALERT 106/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 02:30 UTC on 9 September 2026, 28NM southeast of Al-Faw, Iraq. A tanker reportedly was struck by an unknown projectile. The crew are reported safe, and no environmental impact has been reported. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
