ALERT 104/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 20:50 UTC on 31 August 2026 in the Strait of Hormuz. A tanker reportedly was involved in a security incident resulting in two casualties. No environmental impact has been reported. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
