ALERT 92/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an attack on a tanker transiting outbound through the Strait of Hormuz at 15:52 UTC on 13 August 2026. According to military authorities, the vessel was struck by an Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV), sustaining minor damage. The crew are reported safe and accounted for, and no environmental impact has been reported. Vessels operating in the Strait of Hormuz are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
