ALERT 79/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 22:30 UTC on 19 July 2026, 17NM east of Dibba, United Arab Emirates. A vessel reportedly was struck by an unknown projectile, causing damage to the steering gear. All crew are reported safe, and no environmental impact has been reported. The relevant authorities are investigating the incident. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
