ALERT 73/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 13:05 UTC on 07 July 2026 involving a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The tanker was reportedly struck by an unknown Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and sustained minor structural damage. No casualties or environmental impact were reported, and the vessel is continuing to its next port of call. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
