ALERT 72/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident on 07 July 2026 involving a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The tanker was reportedly struck by an unidentified projectile and is believed to have sustained structural damage. No casualties or environmental impact were reported. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
