ALERT 71/26 MSCIO has received information regarding an incident at approximately 21:19 UTC on 06 July 2026, approximately 8NM east of Limah, Oman. A tanker reported being struck by an unknown projectile on the port side, causing a fire, whilst transiting southbound. No casualties or environmental impact were reported. Vessels operating in the area are advised to maintain heightened vigilance, adhere to BMP-MS, and report immediately any suspicious activity or relevant information to MSCIO and UKMTO.
